2022. A year of movement.

I signed Irreversible Entanglements—right as they joined Impulse! Records (home to John Coltrane, Chico Hamilton, Archie Shepp). A month later, they were on stage at New York Winter Jazz Fest and Big Ears.

At the same time, I started working with James Brandon Lewis (ANTI-). In just over a year, he went from playing for 40 people at Café Erzulie in Brooklyn to performing Big Ears, Newport Jazz Fest, Vancouver Jazz Fest, Noise Pop—and hitting the road with The Messthetics (of Fugazi) for his Eye of I tour.
