PIERRE
KWENDERS

photo from The New Yorker
Pierre Kwenders. 2022.
I signed him the year he released José Louis and the Paradox of Love—a record shaped by collaborations with Win Butler & Régine Chassagne (Arcade Fire). That same year, it won the Polaris Music Prize, standing alongside nominees like Destroyer, Charlotte Day Wilson, Ouri, and Hubert Lenoir. Past winners? Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Feist, Caribou.
He kept moving. Remixes of No, No, No. by Majoos, VANYFOX, Spilulu. A full support tour with Everything Everything. Stages at Boiler Room, Primavera Sound.
Momentum. Recognition. The right sound at the right time.

Bringing Pierre to the U.S.
Before we worked together, his presence in the States was quiet. That had to change. The live show needed to match the momentum of the record.
The tour campaign? SOLD OUT at Tubby’s (w/ Photay) in upstate New York. NYC stops at NUBLU—which landed a New Yorker write-up—and Elsewhere. A Slow Factory show and Everything Everything support tour lined up for spring 2023.
From under the radar to undeniable. Right place. Right energy. Right time.

Pierre’s DJ collective MOONSHINE needed rooms that matched their energy. I booked shows across the Midwest, PNW, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Brooklyn—expanding the reach, building the movement.
New cities. New crowds. The right vibe, everywhere.
