BOOKING AGENT / 2018-Present
currently at ANNIVERSARY GROUP - NEW YORK, NY
As a booking agent, I focus on a very specific area of the music industry: booking ephemeral, live performances. I toured and booked shows, negotiated contracts across 14 countries for 12 years prior to becoming an agent, so my work is informed by an artist first mentality and deep empathy for artists.
When you buy a ticket to a concert, it’s the agent behind the scenes that has booked the show, negotiated the artist’s fee, the ticket price, and that makes sure the show is promoted and goes on sale properly. Once the show plays out, the agent settles the show and makes sure the artist is paid. In a sense, the agent is how a show becomes manifested.
